Progress . . .

Things just aren't happening the way they should be, in my opinion that is. We have not had one offer and it has been three months. Our relator says that probably the price is too high for this neighborhood. That may be but with the commission they will make, I need to break better than even. This is not a charity event!

Now I know that there is a recession going on in the nation but I also know that North Dakota is not too terribly affected by that. Neither is my home state, Alaska. (Beam me to Alaska, Scottie!) So come on, people!! Buy my house! HA HA

If the owners of the house my husband and I put an offer on received another offer that they decided to go with, we have 72 hours to sell our house and come up with the money. If we don't meet that requirement then the other people get it.

It wouldn't be the end of the world if we didn't get the house. We have formulated Plan B. We will rearrange this house to make it a little more functional for the two additional people that have moved in since I bought the house for me and my daughter just two years ago.

Anyone have an accurate crystal ball?

Get this house SOLD!

Watching a lot of "how to sell your house" shows and having all that informing reaffirmed by Barb we decided to paing our Coral wall and our Green bathroom back to the original neutral colors. Perhaps others don't have the same awesome tasts as we do? I couldn't imagine! ;) Today we went to Menards and got all we needed. I am downstairs typing this and Curtis is upstairs working, enjoying his alone time. :) I did roll the first coat of primer but I am not feeling good so I am taking a break.

Just need to get some more boxes and declutter! I would really like to have this house sold before we move into our new one.

New House

February 16th 2007, I bought my current house for me and my daughter to live in. And for my son while he worked to earn money to get into his own place. (Well, he has since moved on.) After my now husband moved in about 8 months later, it was evident that a little bit more room was desireable. Now with my grandson living with us, it is more than desireable. Pretty much a neccesity! Our house as been on the market since November but no offers. Dang it. We did find a house that we want and put an offer on it. They accepted! Now we just have to sell our house. Or maybe we will just rent it out. Things to ponder.

The fun part will be shopping for new furniture since the house will be bigger, we don't have enough furniture to fill it up! Oh bummer. :) New leather living room set, new round table (with leaves, of course), futon for the guest room, new computer desk (sorry honey, I don't like the one we have), and probably more things that I can't think of right now. Here is a set for the livingroom I like:

You don't think this is outrageous, do you? :)
